Robert C. Hieronymus, an engineering graduate of University of Illinois, made a career with Union Carbide in South Charleston, Texas, New York, and Belgium. After retiring in 1978, he was dean of business at the University of Charleston and a member of the state Air Pollution Control Commission. He died in 2005.
