Martha J. Asbury, a McDowell County native and graduate of Big Creek High School, is a writer, performer and playwright-director for EcoTheater in Lewisburg. She has performed in several cities and at universities in different states. Asbury has been published in Goldenseal, Wonderful West Virginia, Blue Ridge Country and other magazines, and is an award-winning poet.
