About Marc Harshman

Marc Harshman, West Virginia’s poet laureate, lives in Wheeling. A storyteller and children’s author as well as poet, he earned degrees from Bethany College, Yale Divinity School, and the University of Pittsburgh. His first chapbook of poetry, Turning Out the Stones, was published in 1983 and his full-length collection, Green-Silver and Silent, was published in 2012. His children’s books include The Storm, a Smithsonian Notable Book and Parent’s Choice award winner.
