e-WV: The West Virginia Encyclopedia Online

Bonni V. McKeown, a journalism graduate of WVU and a cultural and transportation activist, has written for newspapers in Beckley and Charleston. She is the author of Peaceful Patriot: The Story of Tom Bennett, and co-author of Larry Hill Taylor’s autobiography, Stepson of the Blues. She is a blues piano player and teaching artist who travels between West Virginia and Chicago.
