Tad Randolph, born in Lafayette, Indiana, raised on a small Hoosier farm along the Wabash River, earned degrees from Indiana State University. He was a social studies teacher for many years in Battle Creek, Michigan, but now resides beside the Manistee River near Grayling, Michigan, and in Florida during the winter.
