Jay Banks lives in Monroe County, the home of his ancestors. He is a graduate of WVU and earned an M.D. from University of Arkansas in 1949. He has written many articles for the Monroe Watchman newspaper and two books. He chaired the Monroe County Bicentennial Commission in 1999.
